Legends of the hidden temple

The Legends of the hidden temple was a game show for children in a temple filled with lost treasures protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.

Six teams of two children (one boy and one girl) had to perform physical stunts and to answer questions. After the eliminations rounds, the only team left had 3 minutes to retrieve the artefact and win a grand prize.

The legends of the hidden temple was aired on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1995 and was presented by Kirk Fogg.

The Critic is an animated TV serie starring Jay Sherman, a film critic. Each episodes featured movie paordies : Honey, I ate the kids (Honey I shrunk the kids) or the cockroach king (The Lion King) and every critics are almost the same : “it stinks !”

The show’s first season of 13 episodes aired on ABC in 1994 and was canceled after only 2 seasons and 23 episodes.

The serie was created by Mike Reiss and Al Jean who also work as author for the Simpsons. Jay Sherman made few appeareances in Simpsons episodes.

This show was targeted towards teens and young viewers. All That consisted of comedy sketches and weekly musical performances. Popular sketches included: Good Burger, Baggin’ Saggin’ Barry, Superdude, Everyday French With Pierre Escargot and Dullmont Jr. High School.

A widowed father from San Fransisco, Danny Tager (Bob Saget), recruits his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and his best and weird friend, Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) to help raise his three daughters : D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) AND Michelle (played by the Olsen twins : Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen).
I think it is the most namby-pampy TV sitcom I’ve ever seen… but I loved it, couldn’t help it :)

Tales from the Crypt

Tales from the Crypt is a horror TV series hosted by the crypt keeper, a zombie (voices by John Kassir) who pops out from his coffin at the beginning of each show “Hello, Boils and Ghouls”…  and introduces the episodes. The title was based on the 1950s comics series of the same name.

I don’t remember any of the episodes, i just remember that it was really, really scary for a kid in the 80s… starting with the intro :

The show was firstly aired in 1989  on the premium cable channel HBO… it was 22 years ago.
