Still one of the best CD I ever bought. Blood Sugar Sex Magic is the fifth studio album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and it was released on september 24, 1991. 20 years ago.

Some tracks of this album such as “Give it away” or “Under the bridge” became hugely successful.

I first saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers in a Simpsons episode of the 4th season : “Krusty gets cancelled” which was first aired in the USA on May 13, 1993.

At this time, the members of the band were :

• Flea – bass, backing vocals, trumpet, percussion, keyboard
• John Frusciante – guitars, backing vocals, percussion
• Anthony Kiedis – lead vocals, percussion
• Chad Smith – drums, percussion

As a kid, I loved this videoclip… semi cartoon, semi video. The pencil-sketch animation is called rotoscoping and the video won six awards ! The song was written by the norwegian band (yes A-ha is a norwegian band…) and reached the top position of the charts all over the world.

Kris Kross was a teenage rap duo from Atlanta comprising Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith. They are best known for their hit “Jump”, which was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 8 weeks. It’s a song from their first album “Totally Krossed Out”.

Their fashion styling helped them to become popular, they were wearing their clothes backwards… and of course I tried it too and stopped the first time I went to the toilet
